We are seeking a full-time community manager at our location in the heart of downtown Schenectady. The successful candidate will be outgoing, customer oriented and maintain an awesome work environment for our members.  If you’ve got the right stuff, we want you to apply to join our team!


We are seeking an individual who is a self-starter and has a “whatever it takes” attitude to get the job done and create the best possible experience for our URBAN CO-WORKS members. The ideal candidate is an individual capable of wearing many hats in an often fast-paced environment. This person will work with the CEO to maximize membership through sales and marketing techniques and outstanding customer service, maintaining an exceptional and dynamic community, running the day-to-day operation, and planning engaging member events.



  • Develop relationships and be a resource to our members by understanding their needs and interests.

  • Plan and execute networking and one-off events as well as events that fall under our StartUp Town Square, Small Business Night and Lunch & Learn series.

  • Help connect members to resources that will grow their businesses.

  • Ensure URBAN CO-WORKS is properly stocked with coffee, office supplies and technology items.

  • Account management functions such as billing, conference room management, on-boarding and off-boarding, membership changes, etc.

  • Effective communication with members, vendors, building management and team.

  • Maintain the space to our quality standards, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly (HVAC, trash, management of nightly cleaning vendors, functioning furniture and meeting rooms, kitchen and coffee bar cleanliness, etc.).

  • Provide excellent customer service by quickly and effectively meeting member needs, communicating professionally and taking the initiative to exceed their expectations.

  • Work collaboratively with our team to help field incoming membership inquiries through email, phone and drop ins.

  • Actively engage the broader URBAN CO-WORKS community using all company social media and email marketing platforms.

  • Conduct prospective member tours and provide them a taste of the co-working experience.

  • Create tour reports for management and provide timely follow-ups to prospects.

  • Drive internal growth through existing account expansions and referrals.

  • Ensure space is always show ready.


  • Energetic, outgoing and positive attitude with the ability to work with people.

  • Motivated by delighting customers and achieving goals.

  • Engaging interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

  • Independent work ethic and a willingness to roll up sleeves and get dirty!

  • Interest in business, particularly in start-up and small enterprise.

  • Customer service and hospitality experience a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
